Due to the wide variety of printing presses and the wide variety of substrates, there are many different problems. The most common problems are toning, pulling, bleeding, streaking and chrome wear. Multiple factors can play a role in the same problem, and MDC squeegees produce a wide range of products to meet different needs. Under normal conditions of use, conventional squeegees can print up to 1.5-2.5 million impressions. When the cylinder is changed, the squeegee is changed at the same time. Gravure packaging is often printed with coarser inks, which are prone to thread pulling and additional wear and tear on squeegees and cylinders. mdc’s long-life squeegees, which last 3-5 times longer than conventional squeegees, are extremely well adapted to this type of ink and can be used multiple times to minimize downtime. mdc’s coated squeegees are suitable for coating and laminating processes.
